PIANO TUNING
FINE TUNING
Pianos are constructed from wood and metal with strings subjected to considerable tension. They will naturally go out of tune due to; humidity and temperature changes, stretching of the strings, slipping tuning pins and playing. Regular piano tuning will help maintain the stability of the pitch of your piano. Once or twice a year is recommended to keep string tension stable depending on the frequency and level to which the piano is played.

PITCH RAISE
Sometimes when a piano has not been tuned for years it may have dropped considerably in pitch. This may be a semitone or even a tone and just a regular tuning is not enough. In this case the piano will require a pitch raise which will consist of an additional tuning followed by a fine tuning and requires longer to complete.
On the rare occasion a piano can't be tuned a call out fee of £40 will be charged and a report given.
