REGULATION
I can edit the regulation of your piano so that it plays correctly.
Editing the regulation of a piano involves the servicing of some or all of the moving parts of the piano which can include; adjusting key level, key dip, key spacing, regulating lost motion, adjusting hammer set off and checking off, hammer refinement (including voicing), aligning and adjusting dampers and pedals. Regulating affects the touch and feel of the piano keys and is important if you want to continue enjoying playing your piano.
RESTORATION
Pianos can collect a large amount of dust, foreign objects, and dirt. I will make sure the first thing I do is thoroughly clean your piano before I start any restoration work.
Most pianos play faultlessly for years without much in the way of attention except tuning. When pianos age or have been stored and not used for some time, they can develop problems.
I offer comprehensive French Polishing services to help bring pianos back to their original beauty.
A traditional technique using shellac is applied by hand and is a very skilful job.
